It's easy to find identity in anything we do. Basketball player, musician, Dad, being funny, physically fit, intelligent...but our identity needs to be bigger than just what we do. Our identity is a collection of what we believe about ourselves. It's deeper than any one thing. An unhealthy identity is anything that can be taken away from you. Now you're probably thinking that no one can take away being intelligent, you're right, but there is probably someone more intelligent. So what happens when you don't feel very intelligent compared to someone else? Kind of feels like someone took that away, doesn't it? This is such an important topic that this blog is dedicated to the conversation of identity. Where is a healthy identity? Why is identity important? Is identity just a buzz word? These are all conversations we want to have on this topic and we invite you to join in.
